Machine Operator - Bakery

Duties

• Operate and monitor bakery machinery to ensure optimal performance during food production processes
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, performing mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime
• Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and other regulatory standards
• Handle raw materials and finished products with manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with sanitation standards and food safety management practices
• Document production activities accurately, including batch records, quality checks, and safety inspections

Skills

• Proven experience in food production, baking.
• Mechanical knowledge related to bakery equipment operation and troubleshooting complex machinery
• Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments, including PPE use, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocol adherence
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety management systems
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and quality control purposes
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or similar machinery safely
• Strong attention to detail for quality assurance and regulatory compliance in food processing environments

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
