Machine Operator

About the role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of extrusion equipment, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Operating extrusion machinery and completing end-of-line quality checks
• Correctly carrying out machine start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers
• Managing product pack-off and scrap effectively
• Troubleshooting production and process issues
• Completing production documentation and reporting process variances
• Identifying and managing out-of-specification products
• Carrying out quality checks and approved machine adjustments
• Performing basic machine and line maintenance
• Reporting machine faults and downtime accurately and promptly
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work environment

About you

• Reliable, punctual and able to work designated shifts
• Safety-conscious and committed to following procedures and PPE requirements
• A good problem solver with a practical approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• A clear and confident communicator
• A strong team player with a positive attitude
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
• Comfortable reading work instructions and completing basic calculations and production documentation
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and standing for extended periods
• Manufacturing experience is advantageous, particularly experience working in a production or shift-based environment
