Machine Operator

Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining machinery to ensure continuous production of high-quality products. This role is essential to our operations, and the ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Operate machinery and equipment according to the operating manual and training guidelines.

Monitor machines to ensure stability and regularly check for signs of malfunction or irregularities.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.

Promptly address and troubleshoot mechanical issues you have been trained to resolve and notify the supervisor for complex problems.

Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S) of the work area to comply with safety regulations.

Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment.

Record and report production data accurately, including machine performance and product quality.

Assist in adjusting machine settings for different production batches.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve efficiency, quality, and overall production flow.

Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and stay updated with machine operations.

Cross-train in production areas to fill operational gaps.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong understanding of machine mechanics and the operational process

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods of time

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Technical certification or training in machine operation or a related field is preferred.

At least one year of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge/ Skills Attention to detail

Verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
