About the site:

The Cosmo Mine is located 160 km from Darwin City and we are currently focused on rehabilitation and exploration activities.

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to carry out a range of earthworks and to also perform a broad range of other maintenance duties to support the Maintenance team.

Work will generally be performed at Cosmo Mine and Union Reef sites.

Camp accommodation and meals provided.

The role is DIDO from Darwin on a 7:7 day shift only roster or a 2:1 roster, if preferred. The role will be for an initial six month period.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, your duties will include:

• Operate mobile equipment such as but not limited to Graders, Forklifts, IT Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Haul trucks and backhoe as required
• Service and refuel equipment
• Assist fitters with scheduled maintenance on all equipment to minimise equipment downtime and ensure maximum equipment availability
• Lubricate plant infrastructure in accordance with manufacturers recommendations or as otherwise instructed
• Other duties to support the Maintenance team on site as required

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Experience in similar role working in mine or civil operations
• Licences to operate mobile equipment such as Grader, Excavator, forklift, IT Loader, EWP, Medium Rigid truck
• Valid NT “C” Class driver’s licence
• Experience in mobile diesel equipment maintenance and repairs
• The ability to work unsupervised from time to time
• A great work ethic and safety focus
