Machine Operator

Overview

Millard Manufacturing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will fabricate raw materials to precise specifications for both internal assembly operations and direct-to-customer shipment. The Machine Operator will set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including but not limited to power band saws, powered shears, powered rollers, press brakes, water jet, laser cutter, punch press and other fabrication equipment.

Job Duties

• Set up and operate production/fabrication equipment, powered and hand tools
• Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided)
• Perform light maintenance on machines
• Perform de-burring operations after cutting
• Mark parts for identification and ensure conformance to specifications
• Read and interpret bills of materials
• Use tape measures and other measuring devices accurately
• Enter detailed data into shop floor computer terminals
• Maintain clean and organized production areas
• Stand and walk throughout the workday
• Lift up to and occasionally exceeding 100 pounds

Qualifications

• Prefer high school graduate or GED with at least 6 months similar job experience
• Valid driver's license required (for transporting materials via company truck)
• Prior knowledge of metal materials (shapes, sizes, types) helpful but not required
• Mechanical aptitude a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
