Machine Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of industrial machinery, ensuring precision and quality in production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various types of industrial equipment,
• including power presses, lathes, stamping presses, and other manufacturing machinery.
• Interpret production documents to accurately set up and run equipment.
• Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of machinery to identify mechanical issues or faults; perform basic repairs or escalate as needed.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials in accordance with specifications; handle materials safely within warehouse or fabrication areas.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards in production environments by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety checks.
• Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding, assembly, or tooling adjustments when required.
• Document production activities accurately and interpret quality control data to uphold product standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and participating in shop math calculations for process optimization.

Skills

• Skilled in operating shop tools including hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and welding equipment..
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe workspace for all team members.
• Mechanical knowledge related to factory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with materials handling, tooling setup, quality control procedures, and dimensional measurements.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing settings while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
