Job Title: Machine Operator (Food Manufacturing)

Pay Range: R6500 - R8000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and disassembling specialised food manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Efficiently set up, start, monitor, and run food production machinery (including cutters, extruders, enrobers, and packaging systems).
• Setup & Changeovers: Prepare and adjust production lines for specialized product runs, performing mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Teardown & Cleaning: Disassemble equipment following production runs to enable thorough sanitation and maintenance, and reassemble cleanly and safely.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic mechanical issues, minor equipment jams, or operational inefficiencies during production.
• Quality Control: Monitor machine outputs continuously to ensure finished products meet our quality, weight, and visual standards.
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a safe and hygienic workstation while adhering to company guidelines and good manufacturing practices.

Key Qualifications

• Machine Experience: Hands-on experience operating industrial machinery (direct experience with food manufacturing equipment like cutters, extruders, or enrobers is strongly preferred).
• Mechanical Aptitude: A solid foundational understanding of mechanical concepts, basic tool use, and machine mechanisms to assist with setups, minor maintenance, and teardowns.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to follow operational manuals, recipe specs, and safety guidelines precisely.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25kg, and perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, reaching, disassembling parts).

Pay: R6 500,00 - R8 000,00 per month
