Machine Operator

The Opportunity Join our fast-paced, growing team as a Machine Operator at our potato and onion packaging facility. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated packing equipment to ensure efficient and accurate processing of fresh produce. We're looking for reliable, safety-focused individuals with strong attention to detail and a willingness to work in a team environment. Previous experience in food production or machine operation is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided. We have Full time and casual roles available.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging machinery for potatoes and onions.
• Ensure products are packed according to quality and weight specifications.
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or product issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with food safety and workplace health standards.
• Accurately complete production and quality control paperwork.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
• Follow all company safety protocols and food handling procedures.
• Lift, move, and load materials as required (may involve moderate physical activity).
• Day and night shifts available.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or food processing environment (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
