Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. For 2nd Shift In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery to produce high-quality components and products. Your expertise in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards will ensure smooth production processes and optimal product quality. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform essential duties
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months of related factory experience

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor various machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC machining centers to produce precision parts.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.
• Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision instruments to verify dimensional accuracy according to GD&T standards.
• Read and interpret shop math, technical blueprints, and fabrication instructions to ensure quality standards are met.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and machine performance logs.
• Must be able to operate a variety of machines to perform the following tasks turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, spot welding and sandblasting.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
• Maintains work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives, and lubricants.
• Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
• Skills
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CAM programming software, and CNC programming fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience with shop math, dimensional measurements, and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers & tape measures
• Ability to interpret production documentation accurately for efficient manufacturing processes.
