- Machine Operation & Setup: Load raw plastic pellets into hoppers, adjust machine settings, and start or stop injection presses according to production schedules. [1, 2, 3]
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects (such as flash, short shots, or warping), sort non-conforming items, and log production metrics. [1, 2, 3]
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify minor machine, mold, or process issues and coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs or preventive service. [1, 2]
- Material & Area Management: Monitor material levels in the barrel/hopper, clear runners or scrap, and maintain a clean workspace following 5S/lean manufacturing guidelines. [1, 2]
- Shift Handover: Communicate ongoing press statuses, active parameters, and quality issues clearly to incoming shift operators
