Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various woodworking and machining equipment, ensuring precision and safety standards are maintained throughout production. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operation, shop math, and measurement techniques to produce high-quality products efficiently.

Duties

• Set up and operate woodworking equipment such as bandsaws, ripsaws, trim and boring machines, spindle carvers, sanders, and other related machinery.
• Perform shop math calculations to determine measurements, dimensions, and material quantities necessary for production.
• Conduct precision measurements using appropriate tools to verify dimensions and ensure machining accuracy.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines during machine operation.
• Monitor machine performance during operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience operating woodworking or machining equipment.
• Strong understanding of shop math principles and measurement techniques required.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to machinery operation in a manufacturing setting is essential.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing precise, high-quality work.
