Job Overview

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and every other Saturday.

Sunday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Friday (every other Saturday on each shift)

MUST be able to pass a criminal background check.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Assistant to join our manufacturing and printing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the operation, maintenance, and quality control of various industrial printing and manufacturing machines. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth workflow, high-quality output, and efficient production processes. Duties

• Assist with the setup, calibration, and operation of large-format printers, flexo presses, and digital printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Support machine maintenance by performing routine adjustments, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring machinery runs smoothly throughout production shifts.
• Handle prepress tasks including layout design, color management, and interpretation of production documents to prepare files for printing.
• Conduct quality control checks on printed materials to verify color accuracy, image clarity, typography precision, and overall print quality.
• Support cutting, paper binding, and finishing processes to assemble final products according to specifications.
• Collaborate with graphic design teams using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software to review designs and prepare files for production.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety standards related to industrial equipment operation and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or print environment; familiarity with large-format printers, screen printing equipment, or flexo presses is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform adjustments on industrial equipment and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and prepress software for preparing print files.
• Knowledge of color management principles and print advertising standards to ensure high-quality output.
• Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions for layout design and print specifications.
• Basic understanding of typography, layout design, and industrial machining processes related to manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with active problem-solving skills to maintain quality control throughout the production cycle.

Pay: From $18.36 per hour
