  • Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC turret punches (e.g., Amada, Trumpf) and CNC brake presses to bend, form, and punch sheet metal according to blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Tooling Selection: Select, install, and align correct dies, punches, and tooling based on material thickness and job specifications.
  • Programming & Adjustments: Load CNC programs, perform initial dry runs, and make necessary parameter adjustments (offsets, back gauge settings) to ensure accuracy.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect first-off and in-process parts using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, protractors, tape measures) to verify dimensions against engineering drawings.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload raw metal sheets and finished parts from machines safely, utilizing lifting equipment or cranes when required.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine daily machine maintenance (fluid checks, clearing scrap metal) and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Skills (Desired)

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating CNC brake presses and/or CNC turret punches in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Measurement Proficiency: Confident using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Material Knowledge: Solid understanding of sheet metal properties (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and bend allowances.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team.

Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience & qualifications/certifications. Can be discussed depending on experience.
