Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

We are seeking experienced manufacturing machine operators to join a busy manufacturing facility based in Crestmead, working within a production team responsible for the manufacture and packaging of specialist cable products.

These are temp-to-perm opportunities with a well-established manufacturer offering ongoing training, career progression and stable employment for reliable operators with previous manufacturing experience.

Requirements for this position

• Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment
• Current Forklift Licence (mandatory)
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn detailed manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
• Ability to work within a fast-paced production environment
• Physically fit and capable of regularly lifting 20kg+
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Driver's licence and reliable transport
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
• Cable manufacturing experience highly regarded but not essential

Tasks involved in this role

• Machine setup, operation and shutdown
• Operating multiple production machines throughout the manufacturing process
• Monitoring product quality and maintaining production accuracy
• Packing finished products for quality assurance testing
• Working closely with the production team to achieve daily targets
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Following all safety, quality and operational procedures
• Assisting with general factory and production duties as required

Pay details and conditions

• Day Shift: $33.00/hr
• Afternoon/Night Shift: $46.20/hr
• 38-hour week worked across 4 days (Fridays off)
• Weekly rotating roster – one week days, one week nights
• Overtime paid for any hours worked outside rostered shifts
• Training provided
• Long-term temp-to-perm opportunity
