Machine operator (welding electrode machine ,experienced operator)

. Job Purpose

To operate and monitor welding electrode manufacturing machines safely and efficiently, maintain product quality, achieve daily production targets, and ensure proper handling and maintenance of machinery.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Operate welding electrode manufacturing machines according to production requirements and company instructions.
• Set machine parameters and monitor machine performance during production.
• Ensure the correct mixing, feeding, coating, drying, and handling processes as applicable to the assigned machine.
• Monitor the quality, dimensions, coating uniformity, and finish of welding electrodes.
• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Identify machine faults, abnormal sounds, defects, and production irregularities and report them immediately to the supervisor.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance as instructed.
• Follow safety procedures while operating machinery and handling raw materials.
• Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, gloves, goggles, and a dust mask where applicable.
• Maintain production records, machine operation details, material consumption, rejection quantities, and downtime.
• Keep the machine area clean and organized and follow factory housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor, Quality Control team, and maintenance staff.
• Avoid material wastage and ensure proper utilization of raw materials.
• Follow shift timings, attendance procedures, and all factory rules and regulations.

3. Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / technical qualification preferred.
• Experience operating welding electrode manufacturing machinery is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machine operation, production processes, and quality checking.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
• Physically fit to perform assigned factory duties.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Daily production target achievement.
• Product quality and rejection rate.
• Machine downtime and operating efficiency.
• Raw material wastage control.
• Compliance with safety procedures.
• Accuracy of production records.
• Machine cleanliness and workplace discipline.

5. Accountability

The operator is responsible for the safe operation of the assigned machine, product quality, production output, proper material handling, and timely reporting of breakdowns or defects. Any unsafe condition, machine malfunction, or quality issue must be reported immediately to the supervisor.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
