Overview

The Machine Operator/Fabricator is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment and fabricating metal components used in HVAC systems. This role combines machine operation, metal forming, assembly, and inspection activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble metal components using cutting, forming, and joining processes
• Set up and operate production equipment, including shears, presses, and related machinery
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Work collaboratively to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment

Key Requirements

• Experience in a hands-on environment operating machinery or production equipment required
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and metal joining processes preferred (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, seam/spot welding)
• Ability to safely set up, operate, and adjust production machinery
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges to verify product quality
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Knowledge of shop safety practices
• Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
