Machine Operators

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established business in the steel manufacturing industry?

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join a busy production team based in Wacol. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent, full-time weekday work, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidates.

The Role

Working within a steel reinforcement processing facility, you will be responsible for operating machinery and assisting with the production and processing of steel reinforcing products used in the construction industry.

Your duties will include:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery, including cutting and bending equipment
• Handling and processing steel reinforcing bar and mesh products
• Loading and unloading materials and assisting with product movement
• Checking product quality and ensuring work meets required specifications
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience
• Experience in the steel industry or metal processing will be highly regarded
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
• A reliable work ethic and willingness to learn
• The ability to work in a physically demanding, hands-on environment
• Reliable transport to Wacol and availability to work Monday to Friday
