Machine Service Technician

The Position

We are looking for a driven and tech savvy Service Technician to join our growing team opportunities available in Queensland

This is a hands-on role working directly with our customers to install, service, maintain and troubleshoot woodworking machinery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Examining and testing machines, equipment and control systems to diagnose faults.
• Adjusting, repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machine, equipment and instruments
• Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
• Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
• Installing electronic equipment and control systems
• Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principals in commissioning and maintaining control systems
• Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented
• Provide an excellent example of customer service on all levels for the company
• Manage workflow of all service requests using Microsoft Dynamics
• Identifying customer requirements and passing potential sales opportunities to our sales team
• Conduct machine demonstrations as requested

Essential Skills & Qualifications Required

• Applicants will need to possess at least two years recent experience in Electrical or Mechatronics background with trade/diploma qualifications. A minimum of 2 years experience on panel-based woodworking machinery would be highly valued.
• Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of electrical/mechanical systems
• Current Drivers Licence
• Strong organizational skills
• Exceptional verbal/written communication and customer service skills
• Professional presentation
• Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides.
