Machine Shop

Job Summary:
This position will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and Cell Leader over the area.

This position will interact with all production and supporting departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Machine and process a variety of AEC products per drawings, specifications, and

quality criteria as identified on our shop drawings and/or per the work order.

• Ensure safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities.
• Conduct quality checks and complete any quality paperwork required to complete

the machining operation.

• Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, thread gauges, and other

precision measuring equipment.

• Work with Engineering, Quality, Welding/Fabrication, and Production personnel to

resolve manufacturing issues.

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment and manual/CNC lathes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Must have a solid work ethic and desire to learn.
• Self-motivated with good organization skills.

Education and Experience:

• Previous CNC machining or machine shop experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic shop mathematics, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of steel grades, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time.
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and walk to do the job.
• Ability to safely work around steel parts, chips, cutting fluids, rotating equipment,

and material-handling equipment.
