Machine Shop Parts Admin

Job Overview:  Oversees the ordering, storing, receiving and distribution processes of the Machine Shop Department.  Maintain adequate parts inventory for supporting operations as well as maintaining finished goods inventory.  Provide necessary support, coaching and advice to ensure work is being processed in the most efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed organizations guidelines for effective performance in regard to:  inventory days, supply, service levels, inventory waste and finished goods inventory.
• Organize the Machine Shop Parts department in the most efficient layout.  Ensure inventory is stored/staged in proper locations.
• Establish and control stocking levels through a computerized inventory system - SyteLine.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any inventory problems.
• Work directly with leaders and team members regarding processes and procedures
• Accurately report inventory or stock outflow and inflow.
• Perform audits and weekly cycle counts; maintain accurate records.
• Manage and improve stock position of all inventories. Prepare purchase orders as necessary.
• Create a positive work environment for team members.  Treat all team members with respect.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of experience in inventory control.  Solid understanding of inventory related best practices
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Excellent communication skills.  Ability to convey ideas and programs.  Positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to meet tight deadlines
• Experience with MS Office suite products. SyteLine experience strongly desired
• Ability to promote and live ETE Values on a daily basis.  Willingness to learn.
