About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Senior Engineer to join the engineering team at Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc. This is a full-time position based in Tanauan City, Batangas. As a Machine Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing equipment and machinery systems. This position is integral to our production operations and directly contributes to the company's commitment to delivering high-quality electronic components. You will work on complex engineering challenges, lead technical initiatives, and mentor junior engineering staff to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing machinery and equipment systems to meet production requirements and quality standards
• Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting of machine performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Lead and oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and production systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment specifications, operational manuals, and maintenance procedures
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency and meets safety standards
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance on engineering best practices and problem-solving methodologies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime
• Ensure compliance with electrical, electronic, and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing equipment
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment upgrades to enhance production capabilities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in machine engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, control systems, and automation technology
• Proven experience in machinery design, troubleshooting, and optimisation in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software and industrial automation tools
• Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to manufacturing equipment and operations
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring technical teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking capability
• Strong communication skills in English; local language proficiency is an advantage
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems is highly desirable
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
