Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise machinery while building hands-on technical expertise in a growing engineering environment.
Be Part of Our Growth
We are a young, ambitious, and rapidly expanding engineering company going through an exciting period of transformation.
We're not just growing our business — we're building our people along with it.
Being part of a growing organisation means opportunities to learn, take on new responsibilities, explore different areas of the business, and make a real impact. There is plenty of room for ideas, development, and career progression as we continue to evolve.
We're looking for people who are driven, curious, adaptable, and hungry to learn. People who are willing to ask questions, solve problems, take ownership, and grow beyond their current capabilities.
If you're someone who enjoys new challenges, possibilities, and the opportunity to help shape something bigger, come grow with us.
Your potential is not limited by where we are today — it grows with where we're going.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and technically capable Machine Technician to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and servicing of production machinery and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
This is a practical role for someone who enjoys working with machinery, diagnosing technical problems, and finding effective solutions. You will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to minimise downtime, maintain equipment reliability, and support a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in production machinery.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out troubleshooting to restore operations.
Identify the root causes of equipment faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Support engineers and production teams in resolving complex machine and equipment issues.
Preventive Maintenance
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and routine servicing of machinery and equipment.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential faults before breakdowns occur.
Replace worn, damaged, or defective components when required.
Maintain equipment reliability and support initiatives to minimise machine downtime.
Machine Installation & Calibration
Assist with the installation, setup, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Perform machine adjustments and basic calibration according to equipment specifications and production requirements.
Ensure machines are correctly installed and ready for safe operation.
Support machine relocation, modification, and improvement works when required.
Production & Equipment Support
Provide technical support to production teams during machine operation.
Monitor machine performance and respond to operational issues.
Work closely with engineers and supervisors to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
Maintenance Records & Spare Parts
Maintain accurate records of machine repairs, maintenance activities, and breakdowns.
Update maintenance schedules and service records.
Record and monitor spare parts usage.
Highlight spare parts and maintenance requirements to supervisors in a timely manner.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all workplace safety procedures and equipment maintenance protocols.
Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are used safely and correctly.
Identify and report potential equipment and workplace hazards.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area.
Comply with company policies and applicable workplace safety requirements.
Requirements
Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
Relevant hands-on experience in machine maintenance, equipment servicing, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Good technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Hands-on experience with CNC machines, conveyors, automated systems, or similar production equipment will be an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Able to use common hand tools and maintenance equipment safely.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a factory, workshop, or site environment.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and production teams.
Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a growing and evolving environment.
Why Join Us?
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to build real technical skills and practical experience rather than simply perform routine maintenance.
As part of a growing engineering company, you will have exposure to different types of machinery, equipment, maintenance challenges, and technical projects.
You will work alongside engineers and experienced technical personnel, giving you opportunities to learn, solve problems, take on greater responsibilities, and develop your capabilities as the company grows.
We're looking for someone who is curious about how machines work, enjoys solving problems, and is willing to get hands-on.
If you're driven to learn, ready to take on new challenges, and want to grow with a company that is still shaping its future, we want to hear from you.
Other offers great for you!
