• Engineering degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering
• More than 7 years in conception of new production processes and their implementation in production

• Development

Prepares process and production concepts for the improvement of existing processes, implementation of new processes or new products.

Executes process and production line optimization. Prepares content specifications and requirement specifications for machines and equipment for production of new products in cooperation with specialist departments and external companies. Adjusts these with the customer and prepares cost and time schedules and monitors their compliance. Keeps himself/herself up-to-date via external contacts e.g. fairs and exhibitions regarding the state of the art and future development.

• Conception

Identifies necessary production processes and capacities. Adjusts operational requirements for production lines. Works on concepts and executes these in cooperation with customers.

• New products and processes

Supports the development department in the construction of new production and construction processes according to lean aspects during the development to ensure an optimized serial production. Plans and coordinates the construction of optimized working places. Supports the logistics department in the construction of control cycle and process flows. Prepares and coordinates the execution of packaging concepts for new products on supplier and customer site. Participates in site decisions concerning new products.

• Production tests

Plans, coordinates and controls production experiments and the implementation of new production lines and processes in cooperation with production. Launches new production lines for the production in cooperation with the production department.

• Documentation

Prepares engineering data such as manufacturing instructions,manuals, operation charts etc..

• External Services

Participates in purchasing negotiations in cooperation with suppliers. Decides on execution of maintenance works via external providers. Choses external service providers and rates their performance.

• Projects

Leads projects for the improvement of existing production processes and production lines. Plans and coordinates projects in cooperation with the competent authorities of specialist departments, production and sales. Technically leads employees who are assigned to the project also cross-departmental.
