What they need

With six generations of agricultural heritage and a commitment to sustainability through evidence-based practices, Harvest Road Group is proud to produce some of Australia's highest quality food products. We are passionate about delivering premium agricultural food that reflects the best our country has to offer.  Today, Harvest Road encompasses the iconic Harvey Beef and Leeuwin Coast brands, supplying a range of exceptional food products to domestic and international markets. Our business is built on innovation, integrity, and a deep connection to the land, and we are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do – from paddock to plate.

Join our growing team as a Machinery Operator and play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. We’re looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with experience operating a loader and skid steer loader with a focus on precision, safety, and teamwork.

About Koojan Downs Feeding Facility:

Koojan Downs feeding facility is located 25kms from Moora and 160kms north of Perth.  Koojan Downs is part of the integrated beef supply chain for Harvest Road.  This integrated beef supply chain ranges from north to southwest of Western Australia and is based on best-practice ecological planning and animal welfare management.

Opportunity:

We are currently seeking permanent, full-time self-motivated, and skilled Machinery Operators to join our team at our state-of-the-art feeding facility near Moora, WA. This is WA’s largest feeding facility and is designed to supply Harvest Road’s processing facility, Harvey Beef.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of equipment; including loaders, trucks, telehandlers, light vehicles and other machinery carrying out tasks such as pen cleaning, composting and small earthmoving tasks. This position will suit someone who is self-motivated and willing to relocate to a rural environment (this is a 10:4 roster) and work within a tight well-supported and team driven environment.

You will have:

  • Current driver’s licence (Preferably minimum HR, with HC or MC licence highly regarded).
  • Previous experience with machinery including using a loader and skid steer loader with a focus on safety.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good mechanical knowledge.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, motivated and hard-working, willing to be part of the small team.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Candidates will be required to Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment. The role will require a suitable level of fitness to carry out the duties.

What Harvest Road Offers:

  • Lifestyle: Escape the hustle and bustle of city life, and immerse yourself in a peaceful, remote environment.
  • Accommodation: Accommodation located nearby, providing you with a comfortable and convenient living space.
  • Community: Be a part of a friendly, close-knit community, where support is always at hand.
  • Work-Life Balance: Experience a balanced lifestyle, where work and leisure coexist harmoniously.
  • Competitive Remuneration: Industry standards are our baseline. We take into account your individual experience and skills to ensure you are being rewarded fairly for what you bring to the role.
