MACHINERY SOURCING & TECHNICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We are looking for a Business Development professional to join our growing Organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing suitable machineries, equipment & production technology, primarily from overseas suppliers, mainly from China to support business expansion / diversification, new product development & investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Work directly with business owner, Group management and Senior Executives to understand
      business expansion, diversification and investment requirement.

2.  Machinery & Technology Sourcing

·       Identify and develop reliable machinery manufacturers/ suppliers, mainly in China and other overseas suppliers. Benchmark international machinery suppliers and production technologies

·       Research & sourcing new machinery, advanced production technologies, and manufacturing processes relevant to the Group's business.

·       Recommend suitable machinery and technology based on commercial and technical feasibility (Estimated CAPEX, Operating cost, Productivity)

3. Technical Evaluation & Communication

·       Communicate directly with overseas suppliers regarding technical specifications, capacity, production processes, automation, energy consumption, quality requirements, etc

·       Review and evaluate technical proposals, machine specifications, layouts, and production flow.

·       Coordinate technical discussions between suppliers and the Group's engineering/production teams.

·       Conduct supplier visits, machinery inspections, acceptance test, and technical assessments when required.

4. Supplier Evaluation & Negotiation

·       Evaluate suppliers based on technology, quality, experience, references, price, delivery capability, after-sales service, and spare-parts availability.

·       Negotiate machinery prices, payment terms, warranty, installation, commissioning, training, spare parts, and after-sales support.

5.       Project Management

·       Coordinate machinery procurement process from order placement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, installation, and commissioning.

·       Monitor project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.

·       Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, logistics, and other relevant departments.

Qualifications & Experience

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or related field)

·       Graduated from University in China is preferred.

·       2 – 3 years of experience in machinery sourcing, engineering, procurement, manufacturing or related field.

·       Fluent Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred

·       Good command of English, both written and spoken.

·       Willing to travel overseas, particularly to China, for supplier visits, factory audits, and machinery inspections.

·       Comfortable to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environtment.

·       Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial machinery.

·       Experience in dealing with China machinery manufacturers/suppliers is highly preferred.

·       Strong technical communication, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to read and understand machinery specifications, technical drawings, and equipment proposals.

·       Understanding of CAPEX, ROI and investment analysis.
