Machinist

Machinist/Programmer CNC Lathe and Mill:

Cutting Edge Manufacturing, LLC. is a modern Custom Machining and Fabrication Shop located in Fremont, Ohio. We are expanding our capabilities at Cutting Edge and are looking for a skilled, experienced Machinist to join our team. You will find our shop is clean, organized, and has well-maintained modern equipment. We will supply you with the proper tools you need to complete our jobs. This is a full-time, day shift position. If you have experience with blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, CNC Lathes/ Mills and Manual Machining equipment, this is the job for you. Core Responsibilities:

• Ability to use and accurately read precision measuring tools.
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to meet specifications and tolerances in an efficient manner.
• Ability to set up, edit/program, and perform simple to complex machining operations to produce machined components in a variety of metals.
• Be detailoriented, have good communication skills, and a willingness to work together as a team member.
• Possess personal organizational skills, maintain standard machining procedures, keep a neat and organized work area, and keep accurate time entry.
• Have the ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on an as needed basis, involving extra hours during the week, and occasionally Saturdays and Sundays.
• Be punctual, safety conscious, cooperate well with coworkers and supervisors, have a good attitude, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Have the ability to commute to and from work, a valid driver’s license, and your own tools.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic computer skills and good math skills
• Experience with Fusion 360 programming software or equivalent preferred.
• Must have at least 35 years of experience running Haas CNC Mill & Lathe, Milltronics Mills, Dynapath Lathe, Prototrak, and Manual Machines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for an 810 hour shift.
• Ability to lift, bend, reach, stretch, push, pull, kneel, and climb.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle small parts/components when needed.
• Ability to write and log data into the computer.
• Ability to read blueprints and job traveler instructions.

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly / FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

• 810 Hours, Day Shift, Monday Friday
• Day Shift: Between the hours of 5:00 AM3:30 PM
• Overtime during the week, and occasionally work a Saturday

Work Location:

• Fremont, OH, 98% Onsite, travel occasionally to local customers
