Machinist / Die Maker helper

We are looking to add a full time 1st shift Machinist / Die Maker helperto our team.

Titan Tool and Die specializes in the manufacturing of Progressive Stamping dies, Line dies, Pre-pierce / Cut-off dies and Small Lift-Carry Air Transfer dies for the metal stamping and roll-form industry. We offer die repair service and die engineering changes. We also offer precision machining services.

• We have our own presses for die tryout.
• Details for our dies are made in house.
• We have five CNC Vertical Machining Centers, two Fanuc Wire-cut Electric Discharge Machines.
• We utilize CATIA, Auto CAD, Fast Blank, Master CAM and VISI.

Requirements:

• Machinist experience of 3 years mandatory.
• Experience building dies desirable
• Set up and operate manual machines: lathe, drill press, conventional milling machine (Bridgeport), surface grinder, etc.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Make new details from prints or duplicates from existing details.
• Determine necessary steps to inspect, repair and test the dies.
• Die disassembly and assembly.
• Suggest production process improvements.

Tool and Die Maker Apprenticeship Program. Titan Tool and Die offers this program to our outstanding machinists. Courses are taken at Muskegon Community College. Ideal candidate for the program must have high school diploma or equivalent, 2-4 years of machining experience, positive attitude and a successful probation period at Titan.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
