Job Summary:

TEMPORARY DRIVER NEEDED ASAP

CURRENT DATES TO FILL: THURSDAY 10/22 TILL THE END OF NOVEMBER. Between 4 and 6 days a week. TBD

Time: 7:30am till done, roughly 8hrs

Prefer someone will mail and/or delivery experience as training will be limited

We are an independent contractor seeking a motivated and dependable Mail Driver to join our team starting at the post office in Columbia falls MT. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely delivering mail, and packages across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to mailboxes and sometimes customer houses. This position offers an energetic work environment where your driving skills and attention to detail will make a real difference every day.

Need to hire ASAP. Need to have a Flexible schedule. Will perform extra trips as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow established routes and schedules precisely while maintaining safety standards
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical checks, and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records in compliance with company policies
• Take outgoing mail from customer boxes
• Case/sort mail and packages in route order
• Load and unload mail vehicle
• Perform other administrative duties as required
• Fueling up when needed
• Keep vehicle tidy and wiped down

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to move heavy items 70lbs+ daily
• Must be 18 or older
• Pass a background check
• Know how to drive in snow, ice, mud
• 2+years driving experience
• Will need to be finger printed
