Mail Processing Specialist

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mail Processing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, processing, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail and packages. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
• Prepare outgoing mail, parcels, and shipments for delivery
• Verify addresses, labels, postage, and shipping information
• Operate mail processing, postage, scanning, and labeling equipment
• Organize mail according to department, destination, or delivery route
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Inspect packages and mail for proper labeling and documentation
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving mail containers or packages
• Keep the mail processing and work areas clean and organized
• Follow company procedures and workplace safety guidelines
• Report damaged, incorrectly addressed, or undeliverable items
• Perform other general mailroom and processing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous mailroom, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience is helpful but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move packages as required by the position

Pay: $24.60 - $29.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
