Mailing Clerk | Remote

Position: Postal Clerk

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50 - $150/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review sample postal questions and flag any that don t sound like what real customers ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels.
• Cover package tracking, missing or damaged mail, change of address and mail forwarding, and international mailing and customs forms in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Requirements

• Current, former, or retired USPS frontline experience (postal clerk, sales and service associate, or retail associate).
• Have strong relevant experience helping customers in person at a post office counter.
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address.
• Clear, precise writing skills.
• Experience with international mail and customs documentation is a plus.
