Mailroom Coordinator

Job Summary

We're looking for a Mailroom Coordinator to keep mail and packages moving through the building each day. You'll sort incoming deliveries by department, log them in, and get things to the right desks or mailboxes on a regular route. Some days are light, others bring a big batch of packages all at once, and you're sorting for a good while before things settle. You'll also prep outgoing mail, checking addresses and postage before anything leaves the building. It's usually routine, but you'll need to move fast when something has to go out same day. People will come to you when a package goes missing, so keeping accurate records matters more than it might seem at first.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming mail and packages by department or recipient
• Logging deliveries as they come in
• Delivering mail to desks, offices, or mailboxes on a set route
• Checking addresses and postage on outgoing mail before it ships
• Answering staff questions about delayed or missing packages
• Restock envelopes, labels, and boxes as supplies run low
• Keeping the mailroom clear and organized
• Coordinating pickups and drop-offs with couriers or delivery drivers

Qualifications

• You keep close track of where things are, especially when packages pile up during a busy stretch.
• Communication matters here, since you're often the one explaining where a delivery ended up.
• Being comfortable with basic computer or scanning systems helps you log things accurately.
• Staying organized is part of the job, since a misplaced package usually means someone's asking about it later.
• Punctuality matters, since routes and pickups run on a schedule.
• If a package arrives damaged or mislabeled, you're willing to flag it before sending it on.
• Being dependable day to day is something the role counts on.
• You stay patient and friendly even when someone's checking in on the same package for the third time.

Pay: $24.90 - $29.99 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 77.0 per week
