  • Support DB2 version upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.

    3. Database Performance Tuning

  • Monitor DB2 performance and optimise SQL queries, access paths, and resource utilisation. **- Perform performance tuning using DB2 tools and utilities.

  • Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.

    4. Backup, Recovery Utilities

  • Execute DB2 utilities, including REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, COPY, and RECOVER. **- Manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.

  • Troubleshoot database recovery and utility-related issues.

    5. Production Support Change Management

  • Provide L2/L3 support for DB2 incidents and resolve issues within agreed SLAs. **- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.

  • Manage database changes, releases, and migrations through established CAB processes.

  • Maintain technical documentation and change records.

    6. Security, Monitoring Collaboration
