  Job Title: Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer / Administrator
  Location: Bangalore (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days work from office per week)

  Job Summary
  We are seeking an experienced Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer/Administrator with strong expertise in DB2 software maintenance, upgrades, and automation on z/OS platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DB2 installation, migration, function level upgrades, and software lifecycle management, along with scripting and automation capabilities.
  Key Responsibilities

• Manage DB2 software upgrades, RSU maintenance, and installation activities on z/OS.

• Perform DB2 function level upgrades and support migration initiatives.

• Execute DB2 binds, reorgs, and related database maintenance activities.

• Develop and support automation solutions for DB2 administration and operational processes.

• Utilize z/OSMF Software Management and Workflows for DB2 installation, migration, and maintenance activities.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure successful implementation of DB2 changes and upgrades.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DB2 system software and maintenance activities.

• Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with z/OSMF, including Software Management and Workflow capabilities for DB2 installation and migration.

• Expertise in DB2 RSU maintenance, software upgrades, and function level upgrades.

• Experience with DB2 Binds, Reorgs, and database maintenance activities.

• Proficiency in REXX programming.

• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Zowe CLI, and Ansible for z/OS.

• Good understanding of z/OS fundamentals and Mainframe environments.

• Ability to drive automation initiatives and improve operational efficiency.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise mainframe environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
