Job Description

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developers to join our team for a direct and permanent opportunity within the banking and financial services industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for Mainframe professionals who want to work on enterprise-level applications and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications and systems.
• Design and implement solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop and support applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other Mainframe technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and application defects.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Project Managers, and other technical teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging Mainframe technologies and development practices.

Mandatory Skills — Non-Negotiable

Candidates MUST have hands-on experience with ALL of the following:

• COBOL
• JCL
• DB2
• VSAM
• CICS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–17 years of relevant Mainframe Development experience.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience with z/OS and IMS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.

Candidates who are slightly above the indicated range may still be considered depending on relevant experience, technical skills, and overall fit.
