Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex COBOL programs for mainframe systems using VSAM and CICS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions that meet customer needs.
- Troubleshoot issues related to program execution, data processing, and system performance on IBM mainframes.
- Develop technical documentation for code changes, testing procedures, and maintenance activities.
Job Requirements :
- 5-8 years of experience in developing COBOL applications for mainframes (IBM System z).
- Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) for job scheduling and resource management.
- Proficiency in writing efficient Cobol code using various programming constructs such as IF-THEN statements, DO loops, etc.
