Job Title: Mainframe Hogan Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Hogan Developer to support, enhance, and maintain banking applications built on the Hogan core banking platform. The ideal candidate should have strong mainframe development experience, knowledge of banking systems, and expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using the Hogan core banking system.
• Work on mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Support core banking functions such as deposits, loans, customer accounts, and transaction processing.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform coding, debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and resolve defects in batch and online processing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and banking stakeholders.
• Participate in application upgrades, system enhancements, and performance tuning.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow established development standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with the Hogan core banking platform.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL and JCL.
• Experience with DB2 and SQL.
• Knowledge of CICS and mainframe batch processing.
• Understanding of core banking operations and financial transactions.
• Experience with production support, debugging, and incident resolution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hogan deposit or loan applications.
• Knowledge of VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe utilities.
• Experience with banking interfaces, data conversion, and application integration.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and change management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
