Mainframe Developer – Term Deposits (Agile Squad)

Our client is looking for a skilled Mainframe DEV Engineer to join their Agile Squad focused on Interest Assets (mainly EZ/Term Deposit applications).
You will contribute to both RUN & Change activities and play a key role in knowledge retention as a long‑term SME is transitioning out.

⭐ Your Mission

As a DEV Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary agile team delivering functional, stable, and future‑proof Mainframe solutions. You actively participate in sprint delivery, collaborate beyond your direct area of expertise, and embrace agile values: focus, commitment, openness, respect, and courage.

🔧 What You Will Do

1. Technical Analysis & Development

• Perform end-to-end technical analysis (input/output/processing) for Mainframe-based applications.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Mainframe applications using:
  Cobol, DB2, IMS, GTMS, JCL, EdZ

• Contribute to the evolution of Term Deposit systems.

• Design and implement technical solutions for RUN & Change activities.

• Troubleshoot Mainframe incidents in collaboration with DevOps, Infrastructure & Business teams.

• Support middleware integration (MQ, zOS Connect, SOAP) between Mainframe and modern platforms.

2. Knowledge Transfer & Collaboration

• Work closely with the Subject Matter Expert for Term Deposit Applications, ensuring knowledge retention and smooth future transition.

• Document technical processes, best practices, and contribute actively to Knowledge Management.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, retrospectives).

• Promote continuous improvement and encourage best practices in Mainframe development.

🎯 Your Profile

Experience & Expertise

✔ Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
✔ Strong understanding of Mainframe development languages
✔ Familiar with architecture: hardware, OS, networking, databases, middleware
✔ Good knowledge of development standards, tools & security procedures
✔ Agile methodology experience
➕ Experience with integration between distributed & Mainframe environments (preferred)

• Disponible pour un rythme hybride : 50% télétravail, 50% sur site à Bruxelles.
