Maintenance and Engineering Technician

Position Summary:

The Maintenance and Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing brewery production equipment and utility systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

The Maintenance and Engineering Technician will work hands-on with machines used in brewing and packaging, helping prevent breakdowns, fix issues quickly, and support production efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify wear, defects, or potential failures.
• Replace worn-out or defective mechanical parts and components as required.
• Assist in equipment overhauls, shutdown maintenance activities, and major repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.

Production Equipment Support

• Provide maintenance support for brewery and packaging equipment, including:
• Brewing equipment
• Fermentation and storage tanks
• Bottling lines
• Canning lines
• Kegging systems
• Conveyors
• Pumps and motors
• Packaging machinery
• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeover activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns during production operations.
• Coordinate with production personnel to resolve equipment-related issues.

Utilities and Facility Maintenance

• Assist in the maintenance and operation of utility systems including:
• Water distribution systems
• Compressed air systems
• CO₂ systems
• Chillers and cooling systems
• Pumps and piping systems
• Boilers and steam systems
• Facility mechanical equipment
• Monitor equipment conditions and report abnormalities or potential issues.
• Support utility efficiency and reliability initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
• Support implementation of engineering and maintenance improvement projects.

Qualifications:

• Technical Vocational Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent certification in: Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology (Mechanical), Mechanical Engineering Technology, Maintenance Technology, Related technical fields
• At least 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, food processing, beverage production, brewery operations, or related industries.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Experience working with production machinery, pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and utility systems is preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and maintenance tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.

Working Conditions

• Primarily based at the Brewery Production Facility.
• Required to work in manufacturing, production, warehouse, and utility areas.
• Exposure to machinery, noise, heat, steam, chemicals, and production environments.
• May be required to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and emergency breakdown situations.
• Must be willing to perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation activities.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month
