MAINTENANCE & FACTORY RESOURCES ENGINEER

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Maintenance cum Factory Resources Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, improving equipment performance, solving technical problems and working in a fast-paced factory environment.

You will play an important role in keeping our production equipment reliable, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across our factory operations.

What You'll Do

🔧 Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and eliminate recurring problems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, servicing and repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

🏭 Factory Resources Management

• Monitor and manage factory resources, including spare parts, maintenance materials, consumables and facilities.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure maintenance activities and production operations are not disrupted.
• Work closely with the Procurement team to source and purchase required spare parts, equipment and maintenance materials.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts usage and equipment performance.

💡 Engineering & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, reduce breakdowns and control maintenance costs.
• Participate in engineering and continuous improvement projects to enhance factory productivity.
• Recommend practical solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety and operational efficiency.
• Develop, review and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures and work instructions.

🦺 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment and factory facilities.
• Identify potential safety risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and basic training to operators and relevant employees on the safe operation and proper care of machinery and equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply – training and guidance will be provided.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and basic engineering principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to urgent equipment breakdowns.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Willing to work in a manufacturing/factory environment.
