Job Summary

Shasta Peaks Community is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance & Groundskeeper to help maintain our residential community in Weed, California.

This position is responsible for general property maintenance, repairs, groundskeeping, landscaping, and overall property upkeep. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance and minor repairs
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain lawns, landscaping, pathways, and common areas
• Remove debris and help keep the property clean and well maintained
• Conduct routine property and grounds inspections
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Complete minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work
• Assist with preparing homes or units for new residents
• Coordinate repair priorities with the Property Manager
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Help maintain a clean, attractive, and safe community
• Assist with other general property upkeep duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping, handyman work, or groundskeeping preferred
• Basic knowledge of property repairs and general maintenance
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to respond to occasional urgent maintenance needs is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks as needed
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to safely perform routine maintenance and groundskeeping duties
