Job Description

PiLog is looking for experienced Maintenance & Reliability Engineers, preferably with relevant Reliability Engineering certifications, to support maintenance, reliability, asset performance, and digital transformation initiatives across the Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream), Petrochemical, and related industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, covering Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Static and Rotary Equipment, with the ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, procedures, KPIs, performance metrics, and reliability improvement initiatives.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in the following areas:

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) Analysis
• Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Failure Pattern Analysis (FPA)
• Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)
• Life Cycle Costing (LCC)
• Asset Criticality Assessment
• Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
• Maintenance Strategy Development
• Condition Monitoring
• Asset Performance Management
• Maintenance KPI Development and Performance Monitoring

The candidate should have a good understanding of relevant industry standards, methodologies, and best practices, including API, ISO, IEEE, SOX, DAMA, and Industry 4.0 concepts.

The candidate should be capable of supporting customers in establishing and sustaining World-Class Maintenance (WCM) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs, while contributing to maintenance optimization, reliability improvement, process transformation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Experience with SAP EAM, GE APM, or equivalent Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions is essential.

Additional Competencies

1. Corrosion Engineering

• Experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.

• Hands-on experience in corrosion loop development, critical process parameter identification, degradation mechanism assessment, and corrosion engineering principles.

• Understanding of corrosion monitoring, inspection planning, and asset integrity requirements.

• Preferred certifications include:

• API 571

• API 510

• API 570

• API 653

• API 580

2. Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)

• Proven experience in conducting and supporting RBI assessments within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.
• Strong understanding of RBI methodologies, risk assessment, probability of failure, consequence of failure, and inspection planning.
• API 580 certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with GE APM or similar RBI/Asset Integrity Management software is an added advantage.

3. Field Inspection & Asset Integrity

• Experience in field inspection, asset condition assessment, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
• Ability to identify suitable condition monitoring and inspection locations.
• Experience in collecting, validating, and recording initial thickness monitoring data and inspection findings.
• Experience working with GE APM Inspection Management or equivalent inspection management systems is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial, or Reliability Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, Maintenance, RBI, or Inspection are preferred.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Power, or other process industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to work on client-facing projects and site assignments when required.
