Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as schematics and ohmmeters.
• Assist with building interior maintenance including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and facilities upkeep.
• Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures as needed.
• Support HVAC system repair and troubleshooting to ensure climate control systems operate efficiently.
• Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics to diagnose issues with electrical equipment and automation systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools and electrical equipment repair.
• Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures.
• Basic Experience working with HVAC systems, including repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and use of tools like ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general building interior maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to document work accurately.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
