Maintenance Assistant

Pine Knoll Nursing Center is an 65 bed family owned skilled nursing center located in historic Lexington. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to be part of our growing team, but will train the right candidate. Very competitive salary, benefits and a wonderful working environment

Qualifications

• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Painting and Housekeeping skills
• Helpful to be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to understand building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• landscaping and snow removal
• General painting and upkeep of the building
• Implements Emergency preparedness throughout the building
• Able to repair minor items
• Knowledge in state and federal regulations helpful
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program
• Report directly to the Maintenance Director

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
