Maintenance Assistant (Wiring)

Job Purpose

To assist the Maintenance team in carrying out electrical wiring, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair works to ensure the Company’s machinery, electrical systems and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical wiring, installation, repair and maintenance works within the factory premises.
• Assist Maintenance Technician / Supervisor in troubleshooting basic electrical and wiring problems.
• Carry out routine inspection of electrical panels, switches, sockets, lighting, wiring and other electrical equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance activities for machinery, equipment and electrical systems.
• Perform basic electrical testing using appropriate tools and equipment under supervision.
• Assist with installation, replacement and repair of cables, switches, sockets, lighting and other electrical components.
• Support maintenance work for factory facilities, machinery and equipment when required.
• Ensure electrical wiring and maintenance work is carried out safely and according to Company procedures.
• Keep maintenance tools, equipment and work areas clean and properly organized.
• Report any electrical defects, abnormal conditions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and completed work, where required.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements and Company policies at all times.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM / SKM / Certificate in Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, electrical components and maintenance work.
• Preferably with 1–2 years of working experience in electrical wiring, maintenance or factory environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant electrical qualifications and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Able to use basic electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Able to identify basic electrical faults and carry out simple troubleshooting under supervision.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to perform overtime, standby or emergency maintenance work when required.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a factory environment.
• Good attitude, responsible and safety-conscious.

Added Advantage

• Experience in factory / manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of motor, control panel, sensor, contactor, relay and 3-phase electrical systems.
• Possess SKM Electrical or related technical certification.
• Experience in machine electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Possession of relevant electrical competency certification is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bangi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Malaysian Special Skills Certificate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Electrical wiring: 2 years (Preferred)
