Maintenance

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
-Courteous, respectful and friendly attitude towards guests, co-workers and Manager.

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues

• Complete all preventive maintenance check list and other maintenance records.

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities Maintain inventory of tools and equipment

• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments

-Ensure the safe use of all chemicals, tools and equipment used in the performance of the job to avoid

-Creates a safe and attractive environment for guests and associates by ensuring the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.waste, and unnecessary damage or accidents.

-Completes hotel room and building repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and painting. Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, kitchen and other hotel property.

-Maintains safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool and exercise room.

-Always be aware and conscious of safety hazards to you, your co-workers and guests. Report all such hazards to your supervisor.

• Advise and discuss all major repairs that require outside contracted engineers.

 Maintain a high level of professionalism throughout the performance of job duties.

 Maintain a high level of security and privacy of hotel guests and employees. Direct all inquiries about the hotel, employees and guests to the Hotel Manager. Notify the Hotel Manager/General Manager of any trespassers on the property.

 Always maintain a clean and orderly work area, storage rooms, and job site. Always clean after yourself.

 Assist with incoming deliveries, if necessary. All deliveries must be inspected and any discrepancies are to be documented.

 Maintain all tools, workspace and equipment organized and in good working order.

 Perform scheduled inspections of all guest rooms, public areas and hotel grounds. Use appropriate stationery to document all inspections.

 Perform all maintenance work orders in a timely manner to maintain guest satisfaction.

 Always maintain a good level of communication with other departments pertaining to guest room conditions and rooms on maintenance block.

 All maintenance work must be performed within strict timeframes as specified by management. All timelines for projects must be strictly observed.

 Maintain proper tool inventory.

 Assist in setting up the Conference Room when meetings are scheduled.

 Occasional assistance in general housekeeping.

 Delivery of supplies to other hotels. Every delivery made to other properties must be documented.

 Performance of other duties assigned by the Hotel Manager or/and General Manager.

Qualifications:

• Leadership skills to supervise maintenance staff
• Strong customer service orientation
• Experience in maintaining mechanical systems
• Proficient in English for effective communication
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery issues

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
