Maintenance

Job Summary:

Maintenance is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of casino property, casino vehicles, and casino grounds.

DUTIES And Responsibilities

· Perform routine preventative maintenance on all casino equipment.

· Performs the upkeep of the casino ground which includes mowing and general lawn care.

· Clean and maintain the appearance of the parking lot.

· Responsible for occasional remodeling of casino property.

· Responsible for completing all task assigned to them in a timely manner.

· Adheres to and promotes all safety standards, policies, procedures, and practices.

· Reports all safety hazards to Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facility Manager and follows up to ensure hazards are eliminated.

· Helps ensure the general safety and welfare of employees and patrons.

· Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required.

· Maintains a professional work environment with casino guest, managers, and staff.

· Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

· Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality.

· Performs all other task or duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.

· High school diploma or its equivalent required.

· Previous experience working as a handy man with regards to inside construction or building maintenance; well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of building repair is preferred.

· Must be self-motivated, able to work without constant supervision, and assure attention to detail; must be thorough and take pride in work.

· Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.

· Must possess excellent communication skills.

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

· Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

· Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with others.

· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.

· Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

· Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.

· Must have the physical ability to work with extreme weather as well as the ability to lift 50 lbs., to squat, stand or bend repeatedly.

· Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

· Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
