Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance across various systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with a focus on maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and uphold high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components to identify issues early.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform welding tasks and residential painting as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments in manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to guide repairs and installations.
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Lead or support team efforts in facilities upkeep, including safety checks, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer service excellence by minimizing operational disruptions.
• Assist in training or supervising junior team members in maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring diagrams, PLCs, and use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
• Skilled in mechanical repair techniques such as welding and working with schematics for complex systems.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and recording work history.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
