Maintenance

Maintenance - Maintenance is responsible for making needed repairs to the facility or other duties to help provide support for operational or production needs. They are responsible for the upkeep and working order in all areas of the facility

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Tasks and Work Activities

• Installation and assembly of items

• Support all 5S activities

• All supplied are maintained for the area, including yarn, tubes, etc

• Remove all yarn, etc, when the job is complete

• Participate in 5S audits

• Minor repairs and fixes to walls, floors, locks, equipment, etc.

• Check electrical for troubleshooting to identify potential problems

• Monitor and enforce safety measures per OSHA standards

• Indoor/Outdoor maintenance of any items needing repair or upkeep

• Support and provide input to the AS9100 quality system through document development and revisions and support audits both internal and external

• Other responsibilities as required

Knowledge and Skills

• General knowledge of textile processes

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity

• English Language – Demonstrates oral and written comprehension and expression of the English language. Demonstrates reading comprehension with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words; rules of composition, and grammar.

• Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office

• Active listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

• Troubleshooting – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects; maintain order and organization

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Indoors – This position is located in the production plant.
• The typical work day is a primarily working in the production plant
• Employee must be able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Duration of a Typical Work Week – This position is a four(4) day work week consisting of (10) hours per day.
