Maintenance Coordinator

The Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous, efficient, and safe operation of facility infrastructure and assets. This position is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance across MEP, HVAC, civil, and building management systems.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Operations Management

• Oversee and manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil, and secondary building systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, facility operations, and energy consumption using Building Management Systems (BMS) and regular site audits.
• Supervise internal maintenance technicians and supervise daily facility operations to maintain optimal service levels.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, equipment breakdowns, and urgent facility-related issues to minimize downtime.

Contractor & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate repairs, installations, inspections, and routine maintenance activities with internal teams and external contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance, ensuring all contracted work meets performance metrics, scope guidelines, and required quality standards.
• Support facility budgeting, procurement, and maintenance planning by evaluating contractor bids and verifying material requests.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with UAE safety standards, environmental guidelines, and local authority requirements, including DEWA, Civil Defense, and Municipality regulations.
• Conduct routine safety and operational inspections across site locations to enforce compliance and risk management protocols.

Projects & Sustainability

• Support and manage renovation, fit-out, and facility improvement projects from initial coordination through to final completion.
• Assist in driving energy-saving initiatives and sustainability projects to reduce operational expenditures and environmental impact.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate maintenance records, work order logs, and operational reports via CAFM/CMMS platforms.
• Generate regular performance and asset health reports for management review.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3–4 years of progressive experience in facilities management or maintenance coordination.
• Industry Focus: Previous experience in facility management is required. Direct experience in retail, hypermarkets/supermarkets, restaurants, or commercial facilities is highly preferred.
• Licensing: Valid UAE driving license is required
