Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Custodian to join our facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our offices and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various facility areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers to maintain high standards of floor care.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices.
• Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas through regular cleaning and disinfecting.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or light repairs as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained in accordance with safety procedures.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or light repairs is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocol adherence consistently.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors.
• Prior porter or maintenance roles that involve custodial responsibilities are advantageous.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
